MADISON — The Madison chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists is hosting a happy hour event with leading health care journalist Sarah Kliff on Thursday, Nov. 30.
Kliff is a senior policy correspondent and podcast host at Vox, and has spent seven years chronicling the debate around the Affordable Care Act.
All area journalists and journalism supporters are encouraged to attend the free event, which will be held at the Mason Lounge, 416 S. Park St. in Madison, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Kliff is in Madison this week as part of the Center for Journalism Ethics’ journalist in residence program, an initiative now in its second year. The program brings nationally renowned journalists to campus to promote engagement with UW-Madison students and the public.
Among her other events this week is a free health care policy panel at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29 at the Overture Center for the Arts in Madison, where she’ll join J. Paul Kelleher, UW-Madison associate professor in the Department of Medical History and Bioethics; and David Wahlberg, Wisconsin State Journal health care reporter.
