Madison Media Mixer
A chance for Madison area journalists and public relations professionals to share story ideas and get the scoop on what is happening in and around Madison
MADISON – The Madison Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) and the Madison Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) have organized an event to bring journalists from local TV stations, newspapers and business magazines together with the PR professionals who promote local businesses, national corporations and state agencies. The event will be held at Brocach Irish Pub & Restaurant, 7 West Main St. in Madison on the Capitol Square, Sept. 21, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
The Madison Media Mixer will begin with a “speed networking” activity that will allow journalists and public relations professionals the chance to quickly meet their counterparts and foster later discussions. A social hour will follow.
Membership in SPJ or PRSA is not necessary to attend. Your RSVP is appreciated.
SPJ is a national membership organization that promotes high standards and ethics among journalists, fosters First Amendment principles and advocates that journalism is a key element in representative democracy.
