Holiday Mixer
Mingle with journalists, help feed our community, win prizes
MADISON – Join with other Madison journalists to commemorate the end of a dramatic year in Madison journalism and spread holiday cheer. The Madison Pro chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists is hosting its annual Holiday Mixer, raffle and food drive. The party will be held Thursday, Dec. 20, 6-8 p.m., at Brocach on the Capitol Square, 7 West Main Street, Madison, in the upstairs bar. All area journalists are invited. SPJ members and journalists who renew their memberships or join the organization on the night of the party will receive a free drink, while all attendees will be eligible to purchase raffle tickets for prizes, including a $100 gift certificate to Brocach. (Journalists or news organizations that would like to donate raffle items should contact Rebecca Wasieleski, [email protected].)
SPJ will also be collecting non-perishable food items for donation to the Goodman Community Center’s Food Pantry. Attendees who bring a non-perishable food donation to the party will receive a complimentary raffle ticket.
RSVPs are appreciated, but not necessary. Contact: Rebecca Wasieleski, secretary/treasurer, Madison professional chapter, Society of Professional Journalists, [email protected]
